Topic: [Solved] NTFS Problem (and yes, I have read multiple other posts)
Ok, so I have read tons of posts about this and still can't find whats wrong.
I have XP installed on my computer, I want to partition the drive to install ubuntu. I have read a bunch of posts and still can't get this to work.
Here are things I have done:
- I am using the most current version of the LiveCD
- I have defragged until blue in the face
- I have turned off Virtual memory(no virtual page file)
- I have defragged again after turning off Virutal memory
Still when GParted fineds my drive, I get a warning, 'Unable to read contents of this filesystem'. I have searched for this warning and they all sort of tell me to do the above steps.
hda1 has 114 GB on it, there is 7.84 of unallocated space. I can't move the slider on the hda1 drive at all. It is completely stuck. It gives me the warning every time. Any ideas?
