LiveCD stops at grub command line

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to fix a friend's laptop. It is this one:

All of the technical specs are detailed in the above link.

I've tried the 0.3.4-8 version, it stopped at the grub command line.
I've also tried 0.3.4-7, it stopped at the grub command line.
I've also tried 0.3.4-6, it stopped at the grub command line.
I've also tried 0.3.4-5, it stopped at the grub command line.

I'd continue trying older versions, but my internet connection isn't very fast, and it takes quite a lot of time to download the iso, erase the cdrw, burn it and test it.

Is there any hope that this bug will be fixed in the near future?
