Topic: Partitionning USB Keys

I have a nslu2 device: this is basically a little SAN device, but it can fast be hacked to become a tiny linux computer (http://www.nslu2-linux.org).

Nevertheless, this "little computer" needs to have part of his OS, stored on an external disk: it may be a HDD, or a flash memory.

At this url is the recipe to use a USB key with nslu2-linux. And it appears that the USB key needs to be partitionned ...
Most of the classical tools (e.g. Partition Magic) can't do that.
Is GParted able to do the job ?
