Topic: Hide / Active partition definition

Hello,
I have a Thinkpad Lenovo and the original system is on a hide partition to be restored.
To reinstall Windows you just have to push on the thinkvantage button and hidden partition is booting.
but sametime this does not work anymore and noway to restore this function. Even Lenovo doesn't know how to do it.
In the past on older Thinkpad I used partition Magic and I put hidden partition active and hide the other and this worked fine... when starting the ThinkPad, the restored partition was booting.

How to do that with Gparted please? I have not seen how to put a partition active to boot and hide the other.
Is-it possible? I just need to switch between boot partition to the other. Just to try if I can restore my windows.

Sorry for my non english spoken
Thanks

Re: Hide / Active partition definition

Hi!

You can right-click a partition and select the "Manage Flags" menu entry; this will (among other flags) allow you to mark the partition as hidden and bootable (and - of course - to clear these flags as well).
