Topic: not showing partition table

i have winxp installed
iwanted to install ubuntu 6.06 dappar drake
i started installation came upto partitioning
then the window is showing only two options
1.completely ease h/d
2.manually edit partition
actually i read everywhere that there should b 1 more option
automatic partition

then i selected manually edit partition
and the next window was not showing me the partition table
its showing me only one partition
and no tag other than create new was enable

so i tried the live cd of gparted

but the same situation

what could b the problem pls help me

Could you please boot one more time off the GParted livecd, and open a terminal, and there type :

fdisk -ul

and hit <enter>
Past here the output of the above snetence.
