Topic: Cannot use the last free 10Go of my disk[SOLVED]

Hi,

I have a strange problem:

I have two disks on my pc, a 40Go with Ubuntu on it. And a 200Go with silly things on it.

My 200Go disk has one partition of 179Go, and an unused partition of 10Go.

I'm simply trying to combined these two partitions. But Gparted doesn't even propose me the option...

Please have a look:

As you can see the first partition is the 10Go one. The second one is the 179719Mo (hdb4).

And the maximum size stays at 179719Mo ... I just cannot extend it at all.

Did I miss something?

Thanks a lot,

Alex.

that version of gparted is very, very old and cannot move the start of partitions. Please get our latest livecd (http://gparted.sourceforge.net/livecd.php) and you'll be fine.

don't forget to backup important data!
