Topic: Gparted Crashed?
I booted up my system with the Gparted Live ISO and resized one of my partitions using the gparted GUI. I walked away and left it for only a few minutes and when I returned I saw this:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Debian GNU/Linux bookwworm/sid debian tty1
debian login: user (automatic login)
Linux debian 6.1.0-5-amd64 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Debian 6.1.12-1 (2023-02-15) x86-64

It's like the GUI exited or crashed or something.
I have a blinking cursor. If I hit enter - nothing happens. If I do alt + F2 or F3 I briefly see something flash up on the screen but then just a blinking cursor.
I'm really not sure what happened here. I was resizing a few TB sized partition so I don't believe it can be done yet.
I don't have network connectivity to the system to try SSH.
I'm not sure what to do here other than wait a really long time and then reboot it and hope my data isn't totally lost.
Can anyone advise me as to what might have happened and ant other way I can recover from this situation?
Thanks
Brad
