Topic: Persistency on a Live USB

Hello !

I recently installed GParted 1.5.0-1 on a USB stick after a while of not using GParted.

I did it following two methods found in https://gparted.org/liveusb.php (USB setup with GNU/Linux) :
    1) Method C: Manual - Overwrite; using the dd command.
    2) Method A: Unetbootin; using the Unetbootin tool.

Both methods produced a bootable USB key that I can use. But here is what I want and do not get at this point:

I would like to have some persistency, to save my keyboard preference and other kind of settings that I may like to have.

Am I supposed to get some kind of persistency, at least when using the second methods (with Unetbootin) ?
If YES how can I get it ?

We use live-build of Debian Live to create GParted live, hence you can refer to this webpage:

Thanks for the reference. I had a quick look and it seems quite involved.
I will need to spend some time to make something work.

I assume I should plan on using the Unetbootin tool when I do that.
Tell me if I am wrong.
