Topic: took USB duroing resizing out... :(
Hello.
I have a similar situation to this:
gparted-forum.surf4.info/viewtopic.php?id=17809
I have to add, I'm quite new to Linux.
After applying gparted partitions looks so:
History:
1. sda5 partition run out of space (cannot remember was it 55 or 85 Gb)
2. with Gnome Disks utility I downsized the Windows partition sda1/sda2 (to the left of sda5)
3. realized I cannot proceed with sda5, and read the internet: for resizing the mounted partition I have to boot with Live CD
4. booted into Live CD, run gparted and resized sda5
5. then I was not aware, that for the copying the USB is needed, so during the resizing I took the USB-stick with Live CD out...
6. got errors on screen, nothing was updating, so I restarted the PC
Tried to boot, but without result. Booted again with Live CD to repair the boot with Boot Repair utility. But then saw, that used disk in sda5 = 34 Gb.
Question:
Is it possible to restore not copied files during the resizing process? No writing to partition was made after it (I hope).
Thank you a lot in advance.
