Topic: How does gparted calculate minimum size when resizing a partition ?

The subject line says it all, I am curious as to how the displayed minimum size is determined.

GParted just queries the file system usage to calculate the minimum file system size.

This is making the assumption that a file system can be shrunk until it becomes 100% full.  This is mostly true.
