Topic: boot failed

Hello,
im' trying to install pop-os on a lenovo_x1extreme_nvidia_uefi, dual boot w10, on a crypted lvm.
pop-os-18.10 (ubuntu) installer find the crypted partition, open it, and accept the partitions (/, /home, /var, /tmp).
it accept also the /nvme0n1p1 which is the /boot/efi partition, created by windows.
but an error occured: 'os error [error 28] no space left on device'.

the present efi partition is 260M with 226M unsused : thought that would be enough for the about 90M of initrd.img, system.map and vmlinuz.
somebody thinks that pop-os needs a 500M efi-partition, that's why i'd like to modify it.
unfortunately, the gparted-live-0.33-stable, copied with 'dd' on a sdcard inserted in a usb-key, i used can't boot:

'failsafe mode : boot failed   unable to find a medium containing a live file system'.

any idea ?
many thanks in advance.

Re: boot failed

You can try another from several methods to make the bootable USB, as described here, in the GParted web site.

Furthermore, you can look at that page for tips concerning boot-up problems.
