Topic: Gparted doesn't launch

I followed the instructions on https://linuxhint.com/increase-virtualbox-disk-size/

I selected
"Gparted Live"
Don't touch keymap
Loading language setting , Which language do you prefer?
I selected 33. US English

Which mode do you prefer?
I selected
(0) Continue to start X to use Gparted automatically

Then  I get some text and nothing happens.
The text says

Debian GNU/Linux buster/sid debian tty1

debian login: user (automatic login)
Linux debian 4.17.0-3-686 #1 SMP Debian 4.17.17-1 (2018-08-18) i686

The program included with the Debian GNU/Linux system are free sofware;

How do I get to move past this stage?

Re: Gparted doesn't launch

I have just tested GParted 0.32.0 Live CDs, both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions.  Both boot into graphical display and launch GParted application inside VirtualBox VMs.  (I happen to be using VirtualBox 5.1.38, just because I haven't yet gotten around to upgrading to VirtualBox 5.2.x series yet).

You could try a different live media that includes GParted, such as SystemRescueCd.
