Topic: How to stop Gparted?

Hi,
I made a live USB on my windows pc to reset my tablet. That worked.
However, I used the same USB stick later on to copy some files from/to my pc again. The pc entered sleeping mode with the usb stick in it. After waking up, it shows the gparted start up screen and doesn't boot from harddisk anymore. I tried to find info how to solve this but after hours of searching and trying I put the question here. This goes way beyond my skills level...hope someone can help me.

What happens if you power down your computer, remove the USB stick, and then power on your computer?

I did all that, but gparted did alter the boot record on pc. After many hours we could get the recovery disk to work and fixed it. Thanks anyway.
