Topic: CD Wont Boot

When I try to boot up my prepared GPart CD, I get the first screen ok, then when I hit ENTER, all I get is a page of numbers (C++ code?) finishing with
"End kernal panic-not syncing:VFS:Unable to mount root fs******* on unknown-block(0,0)"
[*** is off the screen]  I have the Caps and Scroll lights flashing but no keyboard control.

I have to hold the computer on/off button to stop then restart my computer.

I am using Windows 98 (to run a key Dos program) and am trying to use GPart to set a 160GB PATA slave HDD for FAT32 and partition it (it was previously formated by a computer running Windows 7).

I downloaded GParted-live-0.22.0.2-i586.iso and burned it to the CD.

Any help much appreciated.

Would you be able to try gparted-live 0.22.0-3 in the testing directory?

I would if I could find it! I can only see 0.20.0-3 so far.
