Hi Steven,
on the gpart-live there is the partimage version 0.6.8.
But since longer time the version 0.6.9 is avaiable.
Maybe you will find time to update the partimage to the latest version for the next gpart-live.

Partimage is actually not actively developed. It's only in the maintenance status:

On Debian repository, only 0.6.8 is available:
https://packages.debian.org/search?keywords=partimage
Because partimage is not actually an important program in GParted live, so I'd like to focus myself on other things. Therefore for this package I will only use that from Debian repository. If you like, you can suggest to Debian project to have the latest partimage in the repository.
BTW, for imaging purpose, I suggest you use fsarchiver, or partclone. They are included in GParted live, too.

Hi,
I never use partimage from gparted live before.
As lately I started it, I saw, there is an older version as I know from another live distros.
This is reason I suggested an update.
Yes, I know there are no changes since 2010, but there are distros using the latest version and there are no reported problems.
I understand, the live CD is to have an stable OS on this the gparted can be started/use and another programs are only adjunct, for this forget my update suggestion.

As Steven mentioned GParted is the focus of the GParted Live image. For other programs it is easiest for us to use the Debian Sid packages.
