Topic: An error occurred while applying the operations to Resize/Move

I wish to resize my Ubuntu partition to make space in ext/4 to upgrade ubuntu. After instal Ubuntu 12.10 successfuly I want to upgrade it and its no more space in main disk. During risizing partition in gparted application I saw an error. I tried several time but I unable to resize partition. I right-click onto the 'extended' File System, move the slider to the maximum size, click the 'Resize/Move' button and then the 'Apply' button (twice). An error message indicates that:

"IMPORTANT
If you want support, you need to provide the saved details!
See http://gparted.org/save-details.htm for more information."

I already saved it in USB flash drive. You can see below:

Thank you gaganwebs for providing the gparted_details.htm log file along with your request for help.

When moving a partition, GParted first tries to create a larger partition that encompasses the space from the original partition location and the destination partition location.  It appears that this is the stage at which the move failed.  At this stage, your data has not been moved, and the partition remains the original size as if nothing had changed.

I believe you have encountered Bug 686668 - Growing logical partition overlaps end of extended partition which was fixed in GParted 0.14.1.

To overcome this problem, a newer version of GParted is needed.  I suggest using the most recent version (currently 0.19.0) which is contained on the GParted Live 0.19.0-1 image.
