Topic: Quick "Before Using GParted" Question
Hi,
I just had a quick question about using Gparted Live on cd.
Well before using it I did my usual weekend Pc cleaning methods while preforming some important procedures that are essential before using gparted. Which includes:
- Scanning my Pc for virus'
- Scanning my registry with MalwareBytes
- Dumping unecessary temp files with CCleaner
- Cleaning my registry with System Mechanic
- Turned off System Restore
- Defragmenting my hard drive
- & creating a backup of my hard drive with Acronis True Image
I than began the resize procedure on Gparted to enlarge a drive. When all of a sudden it popped in my head that I FORGOT to use Windows XP's "Checkdisk" (quick option not full scan) to do a normal quick scan of my hard drive for errors.
Was that something CRUCIAL I should have done?
I think I read about doing that before using Gparted years ago, though I could be wrong. It may just be my supreme paranoia over resizing with close to immaculate drive status!
Please let me know.
Thanks
