Topic: gparted and linux

Hello.

I would like to know on which distribution gparted is build and how? I would like to build my own distribution like that for my personal use.

Also how has the gparted been integrated with the linux distriubution. Well it starts the the beginning of the startup process, but does the X actually run with only gparted as child and no other programs are available to start?

I would greatly appreciate any answers?

GParted will run on most any GNU/Linux distribution.  The GParted Live image is build on top of Debian Live.  See the GParted Live CD page for answers to your questions.
