I think it's a usefull feature..... i used Gparted ever before to install a OS on a Computer, before to format i think it's a usefull feature add a selection witch format mode i can do......

Microsoft describes the key difference between a full format and a quick format is that a full format also scans the disk for bad sectors (this is what takes most of the time).

The scan for bad sectors is normally used only when formatting a disk for the first time, as when installing the operating system.

In the situation where you are installing an operating system, we recommend that you use the native operating system format tools during the installation process.

mmmmmmmmm... on Gparted i don't found the option for make a full format or quick format... exist ?

Otherwise i know the difference between two type.......

GParted only performs a "quick format".  A "full format" that performs bad sector checking is not available in GParted.  Currently if you wish to scan for bad sectors you will need to use a different tool.

So for now this remains as a feature request.  :-)
