Partition Sizes changed and no XP Boot anymore

Hello,

Following problem:
1 HD with 2 partitions (C: and D:)
Windows XP installed on C:

I ran GParted from CD. As on C: was not enough space anymore I made D: smaller and allocated the free space before D: to C:.

I removed the GParted-CD and booted the PC. After BIOS startup the message “Data Medium not found, Press strg/ alt/ del” (I translated the message as I am from Germany and run a German XP). As result I can only see the partitions via the GParted CD. Also an Acronis Rescue Disk displays the partitions.

Thanks for some hints.
