Topic: 3rd OS

Attempted to install debian to my present ubuntu and XP. gparted shows all are loaded
but error msg. is Boot from CD, missing operating system.
Only thing I can figure is I choose to load grub to MBR and that was where grub for ubuntu was.
Is that the problem or if not please advise.
