Topic: [SOLVED]a thought (removing one more file)

I really like the new 0.2.5-3 cd with all/most of the files on the new squash FS. But why do you have to have a file called liveCD. I know that is the file the kernel/initrd looks for to find the root file system, but couldn't you make it look for gparted or another file. I hope it dosen't seem like I'm bitching but I keep other files on the cd besides gparted. I could fix this for myself but I sure other people might think the same or do the same.

I can do that. Now that you mention it, why do I do that? It does seem stupid. I'll have it look for gparted.
