Topic: live cd 0.3.4.11 doesnt work on my sony laptop

Hi everyone,
when the computer turns on, i have the start screen with several options, and I am choosing the first one "live cd auto configuration"
i m using a sony sz71 laptop with vista.
a lot of text appears and it freeze, the last sentence is: "io scheduler cfq registered" and then nothing....
I can also read a little higher : "apm:BIOS not found"

do u know what is the problem and what can I do??

I don't know if "apm:BIOS not found" could be related to the problem. I think it is related to the power management on laptop computers.

First, you have to try all available boot options.
If you have no success, you could try either some older livecd version, or the "sysresccd" that contains Gparted.
