Topic: How to create a new partition shrinking another one?

Hi to all.

I'd like to create a partition for install Ubuntu 7.10, resizing the existent ntfs partition on my new Dell XPS 1530. There is another small recovery partition, that I want to get untouched.

Is it possible? How can i do this?

I fear of any problem in following boot process...

Glad if anyone helps me.

If you have vista on the computer, you can try first to shrink the partition with the vista resizer. It is easier and perhaps safer.
