Topic: LiveCD 0.3.4.9 Kernel Panic

Hi there,

I am trying to run LiveCD 0.3.4.9 on my laptop but it fails to boot whichever the option i choose.

Hardware info:

82852/855GM Integrated Graphics Device
82852/82855 GM/GME/PM/GMV Processor to I/O Controller
PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3B Mini PCI Adapter

I got the following errors:

>> Copying /gparted.dat file for caching (size: 43084KB)...
>> Caching successful
>> Mounting squashfs filesystem
mount: Mounting /dev/loop0 on /newroot/mnt/lived failed
cannot allocate memory
>> Copying read-write image contents to tempfs
cp: etc: No such file or directory
cp: root: No such file or directory
cp: home: No such file or directory
cp: var: No such file or directory
>> No cdupdate.sh script found, skipping...
>> Booting (intranfs)...
chroot: cannot execute /bin/sh: No such file or directory
Kernel panic - Not syncing: Attempt to kill init!

I thank you in advance for your help.

Re: LiveCD 0.3.4.9 Kernel Panic

You can try an older version, that is based in another kernel.
Version 0.3.4-8 uses kernel 2.6.21.
Version 0.3.4-6 and -7 use kernel 2.6.20.
