Topic: GParted LiveCD error: gparted terminates silently during move process

I've got a problem while runnig gparted on the GParted LiveCD.

During the move of a partition process gparted silently dies, silently as in no error. No warning both windows disappears.

My disk is a 300GB with this layout:

|------------EXT3--------------||empty||----swap---|

EXT is ~280GB
Empty is ~10GB
Swap is ~1.5GB

I need to move my ext3 partiton to the right so i can create a boot partition in the beginning, the first step i did went ok. I schrinked the ext3 partition to make free space for the boot partition.

Strange or what?

Hopefully someone has seen this before and will be able to help me.

Oh. I've tried different hardware, both hardware with a bios that likes big disks and hardware that dislikes big disks :-)

EDIT:  And yes, I'm runnning GParted-livecd 0.3.4-11 ;-)

Sorry about my cryptic post. No it's not solved, I just hoped that someone have seen this before and not bothered to post in the forum (the search gave me nothing)

My question about mbr is : are you able to edit your allocation table ?
How is it ?
Are partition still available ?
Did you tried "testdisk" ?

All partitions are stil there (and the 200+GB of data)

I haven't tried a manual testdisk, only the testdisk thats being run before gparted does it's magic. I I have tried booting the system after the resize and it looks ok (getting the famous grub 18 error :-)
