Topic: NTFS Boot Patition Increase

Please excuse this message if the topic has been covered before. I tried various seaches and could not come up with an answer.

Server=NTFS

Two partitions C (boot)= 4.0gig
                     D (extended)= 70gig

I wanted to use the editor to increase the C partition. I reduced the size of the extended
partition from 70gig to 63 gig giving me unallocated space of 7.0 gig. I have tried to add
this to the C partition unsuccessfully. The 7.0 gig unallocated is greyed out located at the
back end of the extended partition and I cannot seem to move it.

What is the procedure to move it next to the C and increase the C to 11gig

Thanks for the help.

Re: NTFS Boot Patition Increase

Solved. The new release worked perfectly and the trick was to shrink and get the unallocated adjacent to the boot partition. Once this was accomplished, I easily increased the size of the boot partition. I let Windows Server 2003 do it's error checking on reboot and the server is working perfectly. Thanks
for a great product.

Re: NTFS Boot Patition Increase

Newbie here - Is this software only for LINUX?
If it will work with Windows XPPro, can average joe use it?
I need to do some partitioning and I really do not want to give any more $ or encouragement to symantec bloatware (partition magic)
Thx
