Topic: Windows-Ubuntu Partition Discrepancies

Hi there

Firstly, apologies if the answer to this question has already been discussed.

I've tried to install Ubuntu on my 300gb HDD with XP as well, but have had to do some juggling as the boot system keeps getting messed up after Ubuntu installs. The problem is, that I resize the partitions with Gparted LCD, but then neither Ubuntu nor XP recognises what I've just done, and this then just messes up everything I've just tried. I suspect it is something fairly simple, or I need to do things in a particular order, either way, any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Please, write here in detail, what you did on the hard drive, as well as the live cd version you used: partition resizing, move, reboots, checks, new partition creations...
Did you check your system after resizing the xp partition ?
Did you install a boot loader after Ubuntu installation?
