Topic: NTFS boot problem
I'm an idiot i know. Now i need you to help me fix my idiotic mistakes.
So anyways, i was resizing my vista partition to make room for an xp partition. Gparted said it was does resizing and now it was going to move my partition to the left. So me and my rational self were like "F that." So i hit cancel. Just as i hit cancel, i was like "O [insert explicative]."
So i tried booting into vista, sure enough, no good. So i booted back to gparted and this is the error i got.
"couldn't mount device 'dev/dev/sda2': input output error
ntfsresize v1.13.1(libntfs 9:0:0) Error(5): Opening 'dev/sda2' as NTFS failed: input/output error
NTFS is inconsistent. Run chkdsk /f on Windows then reboot it TWICE!
The usage of the /f parameter is very IMPORTANT! No modification was and will be made to NTFS by this software until it gets repaired.
Unable to read the contents of this filesystem! Because of this some operations may be unavailable."
Heres where you come in, how do i fix it.
Also, i allready tried the vista recovery console and that sucked (ie: it didnt work)
Thanks for any help
