Topic: Gparted Live error: No screens found

I have 19.1 GB of unallocated space that I want to allocate to my C drive containing Vista. The inbuilt Disk management tool can't do this so I am trying to use Gparted Live CD v0.3.6.7. The problem that I am encountering is that I am getting this fatal error in Gparted which says : No screens found. I have Palit geforce 9600GT card & 19 inch widescreen LCD monitor with 1440 x 900 resolution. I am confident that the CD is fine bcos I have used Gparted earlier also on my older computer & it had worked fine. I just can't figure out why its not working now. I have tried almost every setting in Gparted but I am still stuck on that error.

edit: ok i was finally able to get to the GUI. Now how do I resize my C drive. The unallocated space of 19.1GB is listed after the E drive (3 drives - C, D, E, unallocated space).

Re: Gparted Live error: No screens found

Please, tell what exactly reports GParted on your partitions (or post some screenshot from GParted): primary/logical partitions, extended partition, hidden partitions, unallocated spaces ...

About vista partitioning, there is a partitioning tool in vista (command line), not just the disk management. Did you try it?
