Topic: New to gparted. Wont resize my disk

I tried the gparted sw and it wont let me resize my disk.
It asked if I wanted to save the error file but I have no idea where it saved it. I am back running in XP now.

Doesn't say much just says it wont resize down from 232G to 100G.
Where did it save the error file to so I can post it.

I wanted to make a 100G XP, 80G solaris and 52G data.


I was using the gui verson.

I managed to get this working had to use the safe mode option. Not sure why but it works.

I guess you use the livecd version.
The safe mode works on some computers where the default boot doesn't work.

Did your resize operations successful?

yes it was resized but took some doing.
