Topic: Gparted and Windows 2003 Server?
I have a Dell server that came with only 4 GB on the boot partition (Good God why?) and it is quickly running out of space. Will Gparted work in allowing me to resize the NTFS boot partition into something greater than 4 GB? Are there any issues I should look out for?
Here is what I have listed in my Computer Management tab:
Volume Layout Type File System Status Capacity Free Space
Partition Basic NTFS Healthy (EISA Config) 31MB 31MB
(C: ) Partition Basic NTFS Healthy (System) 4.00 GB 118MB
NV (D: ) Partition Basic NTFS Healthy (Page File) 31.20 GB 408 MB
NV (E: ) Partition Basic NTFS Healthy (Page File) 32.10 GB 6.17GB
My plan is to defrag the harddrive and use Clonezilla to backup my disk through a USB Drive and then use Gparted to extend the NTFS system partition. If anything went wrong I can use the restore from the USB Drive.
TIA
