Topic: How do I use GParted

I have downloaded a file called
gparted-livecd-034-11.iso
I have no idea of what to do next.
I have copied the file to a cd, but I get the message
"Windows cannot open this file"
What I am trying to do is allocate more space to my C partition. C has 8gb and is 80% full. E has 8gb and is 20% full. F has 64gb and is 20% full. It is my intention to transfer 10gb from F to E and then to C.
But I don't know how to proceed.

1. It doesn't work with simple copy or burn as data cd. You need to burn it as "ISO" or "Image" or "ISO Image". Look for this in your burning software. Then, you boot the computer from the CD.

2. Read well the documentation.
http://gparted.sourceforge.net/documentation.php
Partitioning a hard drive isn't easy, even sometimes for guru's.

3. You have to work step by step. From Gparted you can get the detailed partition information and post it here, or even better a screenshot.

Resolved
Thanks for that info.
I'll look for "burn as ISO and try that again.
Then I'll try step by step as you suggest.
The worst that can possibly happen is my Hard drive will go US.
If that happens, all my data is backed up (on another hard drive),
and all my programs are able to be re-installed.
That would be tedious, so I'll try DParted first.
Note that I am a novice computer user
I am unsure how to mark this question as resolved.
