Topic: Resize file system

I used the GParted live cd to copy an existing debian installation to another system(partimage). The original root partition was 10 gigs and the new one is 200 gigs. However, df -h still shows 10 gigs with 90% of it being used. I looked at the packages.txt on the Gparted cd but didn't see anything like resize2fs or ext2resize. Does the live cd have anything that I can use to resize the file system?

Re: Resize file system

Solved?
I think you could copy the partition and then resize it using Gparted.

*** It is highly recommended to backup any important files before doing resize/move operations. ***

I used partimage to create a copy of the partitions on the old system. I then burned them to a dvd and used the gparted cd on my other system to create the needed partitions. Then I used partimage again to restore the old partition but with 200GB instead of 10. I couldn't resize the partition with Gparted because it said that the minimum was 200GB and that was all I had. So, I had to use resize2fs to resize the filesystem to match the new partition.
