Topic: SATA Raid + gparted -> /dev/mapper

Hi,

I think all the problem with gparted and SATA Raids is, that it don't use the SATA-Raid-devices in /dev/mapper
I've searched an option to manually select the RAID device in gparted, but there is none.
I have an nvidia_raid and so there are nvidia_xyz and nvidia_xyz1, nvidia_xyz2 and so on devices in /dev/mapper like sda, sda1, sda2 in dev.

Re: SATA Raid + gparted -> /dev/mapper

Solution seems to close gparted started by livecd,
open terminal window and start

gparted /dev/mapper/nvidia_xyz

without number at end which is the nvidiaraid

gparted shows /dev/dm-0 as used device, which
may be is the same the first dmraid device.

gparted is still resizing but seems to make sence.

I will compare /dev/sda and /dev/sdb (the raid)
with a restarted normal gparted, should booth
have new partitions after.

Re: SATA Raid + gparted -> /dev/mapper

worked so fare.

For NTFS partions I had to call ntfsresize /dev/mapper/nvidia_xyz
to increase the volume to the new increase partition size after using gparted
