Topic: no display when gparted started

Hello,

I´m from germany, so sorry for the not perfect english.

I need help!
When I boot my computer with gparted, everthing seem to be o.k.
I type "10", two times, for german language, and software is installing, but
then I get the error message from my monitor (TFT 17") "out of viewable area" and
a black screen.
I have to switch off the computer (no response with tap the keys "strg+alt+del").

What´s wrong??

Thanks a lot

Re: no display when gparted started

1. You don't mention the version you use, .

2. There are many boot options in the boot menu. You can try another option (the option "force VESA" works on most systems).

3. If you get a black graphics screen, you can try to press ctrl+alt+backspace. This would kill "X" and you get a text terminal screen, where you can run
Forcevideo
(case sensitive), and then choose the graphics driver and resolution.
