I use windows vista and i want to resize my partitions with gparted-livecd. First i reboot my system with the livecd. As the documentation says.appears a selection-screen. With enter i choose the auto-config. After typing

Did you try to use defaults? Perhaps there is any error for this language.
... or another option, like VESA driver

the reason was my burner.
my brother resized the partitions on my computer because I could not  recognize the small gparted-letters. how can I make them greater?
can I resize alsp my external harddisk?

The auto configuration usually goes to the highest available resolution.
I think the option VESA works on lower resolution, so the letters are bigger on screen. Otherwise, the option forcevideo allows to select the resolution we like.

You can resize external hard disks too, if you find them in the disk selection menu. With a usb disk, the operations can be slower than with internal disks, especially if many data must move.
