Topic: problem with table of partitions

hello Im from Peru ins south America, and sorry for my bad english, my problem is that:
Last week i trate to install ubuntu gnu/linux, but i have a electric break in mi house,for this razon the installation not complete,and i trate to install of new,but when i have to the select the partion, not  found.
everything went well until I had to choose the option of manual partitions, and do not to see my partitions, entering by Windows if I can see them, but when treatment to install I cannot see them, then I supposed that it was an error in the table of partitions, that download completes version of live CD of gpart, and in text mode i can see my partitions, but with the graphic tool they do not appear the partitions, that to recover the table of partitions I put: # gpart - i - f /dev/hda and later to be able to write the changes I put: # gpart - W /dev/hda /dev/hda but does not pass anything, when I return to enter the table of partitions follows equal, is to say by text mode if my partitions are here, but in the graphic tool they do not appear the partitions, please since I can make to solve that problem and to recover my table of particones?

One of the best tools to recover lost partitions and repair the partition table, is "TestDisk".
It is included in the Gparted Livecd. You can run it from the text terminal window, with the command
testdisk

hello I do to teh tell me, but i have this error message:
error while loading shared libraries: libreise : libreisefs-03.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file directory.

Help me please

Where this error message comes from? testdisk? Gpart? Gparted? the livecd? ubuntu?

ok I boot mi pc from teh liveCd of gpart, in the terminal i put testdisk, and i have this eror message :
error while loading shared libraries: libreise : libreisefs-03.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file directory.
all teh operation i do with the live cd of gpart, but my pc is a Pentium II of 700Mhz and 256 of memory RAM and i cant use live cd of ubuntu why is some heavy and my sistem never load.
I install ubuntu cd in text mode, is a special cd, i download if the ubuntu page, but mi problem now is the partition table.

Are you sure the cd is well burned?
Anyway, I recently tested it with versions 0.3.4-7 and 0.3.4-8 and it worked.

The testdisk program is included in the "Ultimate boot cd" too.

I have the version 0.3.4-10 I not have other version, but now I are donwload the version 0.3.4-8

all it is good Know, y probe the version 0.3.4-8 and this ok, but i have 6 partitions and only found 4 but not problem,but i trate of found the other 2 partitions and one partition erase of mi disk sad.
I can recover that erased partition or no?? about i have important information that, my source about php and some works... sad

Testdisk is one of the best tools. Of course, nothing is sure in information technology unless we have good backups.
The "best" job woiuld be to make a cloned copy of the entire drive on another hard disk and work on this copy.

About file recovery, there is also "photorec", initially developed for photography file recovery but used for other file types too.

after i create partition table in devices sub menu, in gparted, yikes all my logical drives disappear, and i kant now boot from my PC.  what can i do to restore them.?

is the test disk help me too?

Creating a new partition table deletes the previous one. Hopefully, if this was the only operation performed, data must still be on the drive. In this case, testdisk can help us to detect and restore the partition entries. However, you will perhaps need to reinstall the boot loader in the Master Boot Sector, because the old one can be overwriten by the new empty partition table.
