Topic: Moving an NTFS partition - why do the data have to be copied?

Hello everybody,

if I move an NTFS partition (for example "to the left") on an SSD, the date are also moved/copied, which strangely takes a long time (only approx. 50MB/s).
Other partition managers do not copy the data, apparently they only change the assignment (?), Which is done within a few seconds.

Is it normal that GParted can not do this and therefore have to copy the files, or am I doing something wrong?

Many thanks,
greetings

This is normal and expected behaviour from GParted.
