Topic: "Shrink File System" error - please help

Hi everyone

Having some problems partitioning my 120Gb NTFS hard drive down to 60Gb, for my present OS of Xp, so that the remaining space can be used for vista upgrade. The problem is this:

The "applying pending operations" begins fine, but then an error occurs and the details displayed  are:

1.  "Calibrate /dev/hda1" - ok
2. "Calibrate new size and position od/dev/hda1" - ok
3. "Check filesystem on /dev/hda1 for errors..." - ok
4. "Shrink filesystem" -       FAILED
          -"run simulation"
               -"ntfsresize-P--force--force/dev/hda1-s62915134463--no-action"
                           -"Relocating needed data....."
"ERROR: extended record needed (1032 > 1024), not yet suppoted!"
"Please try to free less space"

Can anyone help me here?

many thanks
