Topic: [SOLVED] Segmentation fault on start-up

So while trying to figure out why I can't get grub to install at all on my shiny new Dell, I fired up gparted (using a Ubuntu Live USB) to have a look at the partition structure and got the following result:

======================
libparted : 3.2
======================
root@ubuntu-mate:/run/systemd/system# gparted > gparted.debug
Created symlink /run/systemd/system/-.mount → /dev/null.
Created symlink /run/systemd/system/rofs.mount → /dev/null.
Created symlink /run/systemd/system/run-user-999.mount → /dev/null.
Created symlink /run/systemd/system/tmp.mount → /dev/null.
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
Removed /run/systemd/system/-.mount.
Removed /run/systemd/system/rofs.mount.
Removed /run/systemd/system/run-user-999.mount.
Removed /run/systemd/system/tmp.mount.

It seems to behave the same despite trying with different builds and USB keys.

I haven't come close to figuring out what's going on, but thought I'd post some logs here in case it's useful for you guys.  Unfortunately it doesn't seem to let me report a bud, but only relaunch the app.

Re: [SOLVED] Segmentation fault on start-up

Figured it out... turns out it was some bad corruption in the EFI/ubuntu folder. Easily solved with a windows chkdsk, then gparted started behaving perfectly.

Moderators, feel free to delete this thread if it's just noise.
