Topic: gparted can't resize partitions

So I booted into a live usb and opened the gparted. When I chose to resize a partition I get an error message which says "Partition can't resized" or something like that.
Below I admit the details from the error.

Re: gparted can't resize partitions

Thank you for your interest in GParted and including the gparted_details.htm log file in your post.

It looks like you've found a bug in the upstream e2fsprogs package which contains the resize2fs v1.43.1 program.

Unfortunately I have been unable to recreate the issue you encountered.  As such would you be able to raise this issue upstream directly with the e2fsprogs maintainers?

See Debian Bug report logs: Bugs in package e2fsprogs (version 1.43.3-1) in unstable.

Re: gparted can't resize partitions

Thanks for the response.
So what else can I do for resizing the partition? Should I use an earlier version of gparted or something like that?

Re: gparted can't resize partitions

You might try an earlier version.  For example GParted Live 0.25.0-3 contains e2fsprogs 1.42.13 that may not exhibit this issue.  Please let us know if this earlier version works.  Also the e2fsprogs maintainers would likely benefit if you told them as well.
