Topic: very small and strange partition

Hi everybody.

I have an M70-204 toshiba laptop with a (theoreticaly) 100 Go harddrive and Windows XP (I know, shame on me). I downloaded the Xubuntu 6.10 Live CD and run Gparted from there. Gparted found 2 partitions instead of only one :

/dev/sda1 NTFS 92.96 GiB
/dev/sda4 "unknown" 203.95 MiB. There is a warning for this one.

The small partition occupies sectors 194948775 to 195366464. The warning states :

"Unable to detect filesystem ! Possible reasons are :
-The filesystem is damaged
-The filesystem is unknown to Gparted
-There is no filesystem available (unformatted)"

Does anyone knows what is this small partition ?

Thanks in advance.

boulboul (french, sorry for my poor english)

Ok,
So I guess the partition might be something around recovery tool, and then it is not a good idea to remove it !
You should have a look at your spec laptop through any docs ...
