Topic: Cannot get GUI to run in VMware 3.5

I read many posts and nothing seems to be there that works.  I desperately need this to work for  me.  No problems in booting from the ISO (I saw that a lot!).  It boots just fine but in the silly little screen emulator in VMware client, it just flashes every once in a while and no GUI!  Any tricks I can use to make this work????

I am able to run the latest gparted-live-0.19.1-1-i486.iso in VMware Player 6.0.3 build-1895310 with no special settings.

For Debian testing (to be upcoming Jessie) I found that I had to go into the Virtual Machine settings under the Hardware tab, select Display and enable "Accelerate 3D graphics".  Perhaps this might help.

Thanks Dedakc but I am still on 3.5 and it has not settings for video that I can find.  I guess we are shot down with this old version of VMware.

You might try using GParted from other rescue disks, such as SystemRescueCD.
