Topic: How to resize a partition for OpenSolaris with file system ZFS?

I booted with GParted Live CD on an OpenSolaris system with file system ZFS.

Unfortunately I was not able to resize an existing partition /dev/sda1 to include the following unallocated space of 8 Gb on the physical hard disc. The sub-menu "resize" was disabled.

I guess its because of the Solaris file system ZFS which is by default unknown to Gparted.

Is there a work around for this?

Unfortunately, GParted doesn't still support ZFS.
There were feature requests on it 3 years ago. It seems that there are legal issues concerning the GNU licence compatibility.

I think you have to look for OpenSolaris support forum.
