Topic: Resizing NTFS partition

Hi.

In advance, i apologize for my bad english.

I'm trying to resize an NTFS partition.

I have one S-ATA HD, and i'm running Ubuntu 6.06.
I installed Gparted + ntfsprogs, and then unmounted the NTFS (non-system!) partition, but when I wanted to resize it, Gparted acted like if he did but then showed a message telling me that 'problems could have happened because the HD had at least one mounted partition', which was true.

Ok, then I used my Ubuntu LiveCD (which is also a Dapper Drake, 6.06 LTS), and discovered Gparted was installed on it.

I launched it, unmounted the swap partition of my HD, which was mounted - i don't know why.
Then I tried to resize my ntfs partition, and once more Gparted acted like doing it, and furthermore did not show any error message.
But after the HD check, i could see that the partition had'nt been resized...

What could have happened?
What am i doing wrong?

Thanks a lot!

Re: Resizing NTFS partition

Huh, no, the problem is GParted doesn't resize my partition, althought he seems to do it.
In facts nothing changed.

I didn't try with the last LiveCD... could this resolve the problem?
