Topic: GParted Live CD failed to boot on notebook running Vista Ent 64-bit

Tried 2 separate CD of 0.4.8.6 GParted Live CD ISO download using 2 different burner (Nero and one another).
Have HP 8530w notebook running Vista Enterprise 64-bit OS with 4GB RAM.

When tried to boot with GParted LIve CD, it seems scanning the CD as well as the harddisk (I saw it blinking) with the screen stay in the boot screen (with messaging asking to press ESC for system config...)
It stayed there for minutes with nothing happen.

Any hint why it's the case? What I can try? How to proceed?

Exactly the same situation.
Notebook HP Probook 4510s

Then I try to boot from LiveCd I see CD activity, but screen remain on POST state.
I see "Press ESC key for startum menu" and hp logo.

Checked with
gparted-live-0.4.8
gparted-live-0.5.0

CapsLock LED blinking 5 flashes - pause, 5 flashes - pause. About 5 cycles.

same situation applies to me. HP Pavilion dv3 notebook, 64 bit operating system, Windows Vista Home Edition, 4 GB RAM. I burn gparted-live-0.5.0 to CD, then try to boot with CD, doesn't work

Could you please try the same GParted live CD on different machine? By doing this, we can isolate the problem and to see if it is on the CD itself or on some specific machine.

1. No, boot menu is not appear.
I see only POST screen with Hewlwtt Packard logo.

2. Yes, the same CD work fine on other ASUS motherboard based PC.

I think this is a GRUB boot screen  issue....

No, I do not see boot menu.

I tried to boot GParted live CD on different machine, Dell Inspiron 1520 notebook, 2038 MD 32-bit operating system, windows vista home premium, and it also does not work.
