Topic: Need support for Qlogic HBA adapters

I have a machine connected to Netapp storage via fiberchannel Qlogic qla2340 adapters and wanted to find out if the newest version of Gparted supports Qlogic adapters?

Re: Need support for Qlogic HBA adapters

I find in the information page for qla2340 that they support at least Red Hat and Suse Linux, both in 32bit and 64 bit. So, it is highly probable that this adapter is supported.

You can easily check it by using the latest stable GParted livecd.

Re: Need support for Qlogic HBA adapters

I downloaded the 0.4.6-1 version of Gparted and tried again to access the drive through the fabric to no avail. The drive does not show up on list of disks in Gparted. This is becoming critical for me as this disk is filling up. If anyone has any thoughts on how to access this drive through the Qlogic HBAs please advise.
Thanks
Mickey

Do you know which kernel module should be used for your Qlogic qla2340 adapters on GNU/Linux?

Steven.
