Hi,
if nothing is mounted ( e.g. running "GParted Live CD" , scanning another storage medium), you won't see mountpoints. If you run an "embedded" GParted within another Linux distro, you see the appropriate mountpoints, of course ... but you can't work on mounted partitions, and you can't unmount them as well !
So, how to solve this problem ? Use volume names to identify partitions, because they are also shown in "GParted" ! And you need to use "GParted Live CD" (latest stable version) to work on other Linux distros main partitions.
Regards
cmdr
