Topic: Can't create Extended

Hi,

I'm using GParted 0.25 on Ubuntu. I'm trying to create an Extended partition with the GUI.  I right-click on an unallocated partition, and select New. The 'Create as:' selection only lists Primary Partition as an acceptable option (Logical & Extended are greyed out). My disk is a 120G SATA. I have two primary and 1 extended partition currently on this device.

How do I create an extended partition?

Hi The best thing you could do is to try to use the last version : try to update your current version to the last GParted version which might be 0.3.3 smile

Thanks Larry. I rechecked with my Live CD which is version 0.3.3, but it still has the same problem. I'm a very green Linux newbie, but if there is any debug log or testing output that I could I submit, please let me know.

Re: Can't create Extended

Ok, I think I was just being dumb. According a comment here and another here you can only have ONE extended partition per disk.
